Zin & the Art of Art Appreciation!

My first “crush” in life was that of making Zinfandel, back in the mid 1990’s. Hence, the theme for my new U-Tube interview with a local artist, “Zin & the Art of Art Appreciation.”

According to the artist Salvador Dali, “Great wine requires a mad man to grow the vine, a wise man to watch over it, a lucid poet to make it, and a lover to drink it.” In many respects, making great wine is analogous to all sorts of art forms such as sculpting, crafting picture that highlight the beauty of the human body - along with painting beautiful images and landscapes.

Art can help us to de-stress in life, along with bringing joy and inspiring creativity in life. In this episode I interview Vanessa Madrid at the “Angels Gate Cultural Center.” Her studio over looks the beautiful California ocean near San Pedro. Vanessa teaches painting, design, drawing and art theory at various colleges throughout Southern California. As a sculptor and painter her current work is an investigation into the vulnerabilities of the body, psyche, and states of transition.

The more I do art and photography wine tastings, the more I have come to appreciate that wine and art are meant to go together like Yin & Yang. They complement and enhance each other!

So, join me with a glass of wine, and listen to Vanessa Madrid sharing from her heart about some of her artistic expressions - along with my comments on the art of wine appreciation. And if you are an artist or photographer and would like to be interviewed by me for a future video episode send me a note. I'd love to get together and talk about beauty and the art of wine appreciation!

Check it out, “Zin & the Art of Art Appreciation.”
